Milestone 1
The projects kick-off meeting in January was a good start to establish the team of project partners as a really co-operating network: the work structures were fixed, the working contents were defined more precisely - and all this a in very good atmosphere. The co-operation in the several work-teams was proceeded in a meeting of all Workpackage-managers (in April) and Workpackage meetings (May and June). The legal situation for a future association was clarified, an organisational structure-proposal was developed and a first draft of the statutes was provided for its discussion on the all-partner-meeting in August 2003 in Pori (Finland).
Milestone 2
The foundation of the association was supposed to take place in August on the partner meeting in Pori: there, a discussion took place where the partners decided to postpone the foundation for one year, now planned for the first all-partner-meeting after the EU-accession of the Phare-countries in August 2004. The already-formed partner structure as well as the current plans regarding the association were published among the partners and potential other association members. The monthly cross-communication was done via Email, telephone and by 2 WP-manager and national-representative-meetings, accompanied by single meetings in workgroups.
Several partner-co-operations "on the edges" of the project work were started, by which links to other projects on renewable energies were made. Two international business-co-operations were initiated by the project up to now.
Milestone 3
Regular and/or on-demand information about the project progress to interested partners. Monthly (or more often) communication between the potential foundation members of the future association and the project manager and future association manager, discussing the aims and first steps of the association to be founded in the beginning of September. Pre-planning of the association-marketing.
Milestone 4
Foundation of the association on the 1.9.2004. As the aims and target groups of the started association work remained still unprecise, a questionnaire will be distributed among the foundation members to define our future work and tasks as soon as possible and to become active right away.
