Partner characterizationVilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Vilnius CCIC) was established in 1996. It has taken over and holds on the traditions of the similar institution set up in Lithuania in 1924. The activity of Vilnius CCIC is based on the Law on the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts of the Republic of Lithuania No I-1094 of 14 November, 1995.Vilnius CCIC is a voluntary amalgamation of natural and legal persons engaged in economic and commercial activities provided by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and implementing the principles of business self government. As a link in world-wide chain of more than 10 000 chambers of commerce, Vilnius CCIC is a part of unique network of business contacts through which we can open doors to the new markets.The main functions of Vilnius CCIC are: promotion of the development of trade, industry, services, crafts and other businesses as well as business infrastructure in the region, the economic relations between Lithuanian and foreign companies, co-ordination of vocational training in the region, representation of the interests of the members by co-operation with the regional and governmental authorities and other institutions, foreign economic entities, lobbying . The Chamber also carries out state-delegated functions (issuing Certificates of Origin, ATA Carnets and force majeure documents, legalisation of foreign trade documents, organisation of vocational training). Vilnius CCIC prepares and implements different international projects. Services of Vilnius CCIC provided to foreign companies
