Partner characterization

EMD is a software and know-how center supplying countries world wide with software and know-how within the field of project design and documentation of environmentally friendly energy projects. Main topic during the last years has been wind energy, but also co-generation is a main task.

Main product is the WindPRO software tool for development of wind energy projects – the main modules are:

Energy calculation (analyses of measured wind data, interface to WAsP model, PARK (Array loss calculation) Optimization tools for as well complex terrain as off shore sites)
Environment documentation (Noise, Flicker, Zones of Visual influence, Neighbor impact)
Visualization (Photomontage, 2D Animation for e.g. web presentation, 3D Animation for full “fly around” in artificial computer rendered landscape model)
Planning tools (Conflict check, Visibility analyses, wind resource weighted spatial planning, pollution reports, terrain profile and other landscape analyze features)
Economy calculations and Grid design and analyze tool
